FLORENCE, Ky., April 15, 2026 –Mazak will host its DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK Southwest Open House event to support manufacturers preparing for the upswing and increasing demands of the oil and gas industry. The event will take place May 13-14, 2026 at the Mazak Southwest Technology Center in Houston, Texas, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST. The company will feature live, real-world cutting demonstrations on Mazak machine tool technology, along with automation options and integrated technologies focused on increasing throughput, improving process consistency and reducing setup time.

Mazak will spotlight its machine portfolio designed to support manufacturers in oil and gas sector. Those machining technologies include Multi-Tasking turning, vertical machining and Swiss-type machining. All three types of machines provide the high-precision, stability and flexibility necessary for producing tight-tolerance, high-quality oil and gas components.

Within the Multi-Tasking category, the event will showcase Mazak’s QT-Ez 10MY, INTEGREX i-450 H ST, and HQR-200/3 NEO machines. The Kentucky-built QT-Ez 10MY Turning Center provides milling (M) and Y-axis off-centerline (Y) capability for multi-surface machining, and Mazak will demonstrate it paired with the company’s Ez LOADER standalone cobot automation.

The INTEGREX i-450 H ST Multi-Tasking Machine delivers DONE IN ONE ® part processing with its second turning spindle (S), a milling spindle and lower turret (T)along with optional rotary tool capabilities. Additionally, the next-generation HQR-200/3 NEO provides the same single-setup processing capability through the use oftwo turning spindles, a high-torque milling spindle, and three turrets – two upper and one lower – for high-volume production.

Other featured Mazak turning centers include the flat-bed SLANT TURN 550 and the flat-bed POWER MASTER. The former is well-suited for heavy-duty turning of large workpieces up to 35.83" in diameter and from 40" to 161.38" long and offers a wide range of spindle bore options. With a high-torque 45kW (60hp) spindle, the POWER MASTER generates 5,369 foot-pounds of torque to easily and efficiently machine large-diameter, long-shaft workpieces.

Like the QT-Ez 10MY, Mazak’s VC-Ez 26 and VC-Ez 20X Vertical Machining Centers are part of Mazak’s Kentucky-built Ez Series of machines. The VC-Ez 26 standard equipment includes a powerful 40-taper 12,000 rpm 25 hp (18.64 kW) spindle and a 30-tool magazine automatic tool changer. With its “X” designation, the VC-Ez 20X processes small complex parts via 3+2 or full 5-axis machining on a 5-axis rotary/tilt trunnion table with roller gear cam technology.

Swiss-type machining is key to the high-speed production of small, precise parts, and Mazak will demonstrate such capability with its SYNCREX 38/8 at the event. The 8-axis machine is the company’s largest machine in the SYNCREX Series lineup and accommodates bar stock measuring up to 1.5" (38mm) while shortening part cycle times with a 1,378 IPM (35,000 mm/min) rapid traverse rate.

Machines displayed at the DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK Southwest Open House event, like all Mazak machines, are backed by Mazak MPower Complete Customer Care, the industry’s most comprehensive machine support program. In addition, Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF) allows shops to easily drive results with innovation with one-stop, factory-direct financing on Mazak equipment.
