Mazak Will Show Shops How to Drive Production at Dallas Open House Event
FLORENCE, Ky., February 19, 2026 – With a focus on motorsports part production, Mazak is hosting its DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK Open House at the company’s Dallas Technical Center from March 11-12 in Dallas. Attendees will experience the speed and precision of Mazak’s VARIAXIS i-700T 5-axis Machining Center, the QT-Ez 12MY Horizontal Turning Center, the INTEGREX j-200S NEO Multi-Tasking Machine, and the brand-new SYNCREX 38/9 Swiss-type Turning Machine.
“Dallas and the surrounding areas are home to some of the nation’s top manufacturers, supporting a variety of industries,” said Don Miller, Regional General Manager with Mazak. “These shops stay competitive only when they incorporate the latest, most advanced and productive machine tool and automation systems. Like all our DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK regional events, we bring those technologies to them for easy accessibility coupled with applications support that will ensure their success.”
At the event, attendees will experience how the Mazak VARIAXIS i-700T 5-axis Machining Center delivers high-speed, simultaneous 5-axis milling and turning capabilities in a single, integrated platform. The machine allows shops to process complex multi-surface parts from raw material to finished part with DONE IN ONE®capability that reduces setups and shortens lead times.
Designed for versatility and productivity, the VARIAXIS i-700T features a compact, high-speed spindle with speeds up to 18,000 rpm and a large travel envelope to accommodate a wide range of small- to mid-sized motorsports parts. Its rigid tilting rotary table provides part feature accessibility for 5-axis milling and turning functions to minimize setup errors and maintain accuracy.
Mazak’s QT-Ez 12MY’s 3,300 rpm, 22 kW (30 hp) spindle features a 12" (304.8 mm) chuck and allows for a 3" (76.2) diameter maximum bar work capacity. The machine handles workpieces up to 14" (355.6 mm) in diameter and as long as 19" (482.6 mm) while also providing 12-tool turret storage capacity.
Like all QT-Ez Series machines, the QT-Ez 12MY features a powerful integral motor headstock, Hybrid MX roller guideways and pre-tensioned ball screws supported at both ends for reliable, thermally stable and precise machine axis movement. The machine features a bed casting design that provides enhanced rigidity as well as streamlined chip flow to eliminate chip accumulation. Its rigid bed casting with optimized chip flow design supports continuous automated operation with minimal operator intervention.
To quickly and easily program the QT-Ez 12MY, Mazak’s MAZATROL SmoothEz CNC is equipped with dual 800 MHz processors, 512 MB of RAM and a 15" capacitive touch screen and full keyboard. The control allows for both G-Code and MAZATROL conversational programming. Its MAZATROL TWINS function enables use of Solid MAZATROL, Virtual Machining and Cutting Adviser through Smooth Cam Ai and centralized storage and file management through Smooth Project Manager.
For high-volume production of small, precise motorsports parts, the SYNCREX 38/9 Swiss-Type Turning Machine is built on Mazak’s High Damping Composite Casting (HDCC). The unique high-rigidity base provides greater vibration-damping characteristics, less thermal growth, longer tool life and greater part surface capabilities than cast iron base machines.
The SYNCREX 38/9 handles bar stock up to 1.5" (38 mm) and allows shops to run full bar capacity with no special bar end preparation. The machine’s 9-axis configuration is standard with 10HP(7.5 kW) main and second spindles, four cross working live tools on the main spindle, and 9,000-rpm B-axis tool spindle as well as up to six live tools and a Y-axis for the counter spindle. Total machine tool capacity is 39.
A removable guide bushing adapter enables operators to preset the guide bushing outside the SYNCREX 38/9. Considered a “convertible,” the machine quickly and easily changes over to operate in chucker/non-guide brushing mode to efficiently run shorter non-traditional parts that would normally require a fixed headstock lathe.
The SYNCREX 38/9 includes the new MAZATROL SmoothSt control with a full mechanical keyboard. The optional Mazak Swiss Setup Assist (MSSA) function provides fast and easy job setups, while the optional Mazak Dynamic Chip Control (MDCC) functionality increases chip-management performance.
Mazak’s INTEGREX j-200S NEO features a second spindle that reduces setup time for parts requiring phase alignment while improving machining accuracy. Advanced machine enhancements include higher-torque integral spindle technology, faster spindle speeds, improved positioning accuracy and expanded tool magazine capacity with support for longer tools. Added heat displacement compensation further stabilizes machining accuracy as well as improves efficiency and reduces power consumption.
High-performance specifications deliver increased spindle torque of up to 20HP for the main spindle, 15HP for the second spindle and precise B-axis milling with 0.0001-degree indexing increments. Mazak equips the machine with its Ai Thermal Shield that compensates for temperature changes and machining conditions to minimize thermal displacement and ensure stable accuracy during continuous operations.
Mazak pairs the INTEGREX j-200S NEO with the company’s Mazak Smooth Coolant System to increase energy and labor efficiency as well as to reduce maintenance demands and cutting power consumption by up to 20% and lessen CO2 emissions. Powered by the MAZATROL SmoothG control, the machine supports both G-code and Mazak MAZATROL conversational programming through an intuitive 19" touchscreen interface.
Every Mazak machine is backed by Mazak MPower Complete Customer Care, the industry’s most comprehensive machine support program. Plus, Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF) allows shops to easily move their manufacturing forward with one-stop, factory-direct financing on Mazak equipment.
