SYNCREX Swiss-Type Machining the Mazak Way Featured at IMTS 2026

FLORENCE, Ky., September 14, 2026 – Now offering a complete line of Swiss-style production turning machines, Mazak demonstrated its SYNCREX 32/8 for high-speed, high-volume production machining at IMTS 2026. The SYNCREX Series encompasses machine bar stock capacities ranging from 0.393" (10mm) to 1.5" (38mm).

The SYNCREX 32/8 8-axis Swiss-type production turning machine handles bar stock up to 1.25" (32 mm). This machine is powered by 8 hp (5.5 kW) main and counter spindles, each capable of 8,000 rpm. The 32/8 has impressive rapid traverse rates of 1,378 ipm (35,000 mm/min) on the X1, X2, Y1, Y2, Z1 and Z2 axes.

As with other SYNCREX models, the 32 Series uses a removable guide bushing adapter, enabling operators to preset the guide bushing outside the machine. The machine is “convertible” and can easily be changed over to run in chucker/non-guide bushing mode. This adds to the machine’s flexibility and allows shops to efficiently run non-traditional Swiss-style parts.

Like all models in the series, the SYNCREX 32/8 is a sliding headstock machine constructed on the Mazak High Damping Composite Casting (HDCC). This unique high-rigidity base provides greater vibration-damping characteristics, less thermal growth and greater part surface capabilities when compared to a cast iron base machine.

All SYNCREX machine models come equipped with Mazak’s MAZATROL SmoothSt CNC. To further increase the productivity of the Syncrex 32/8, Mazak offers (MDCC) Mazak Dynamic Chip Control functionality to help break chips in tough or gummy materials and the optional MT Tablet with either ESPRIT, Mastercam or Autodesk-PartMaker CAD/CAM software bundles to further maximize productivity.
