Machine construction that achieves high-accuracy and high-productivity

Based on structural analysis, the best machine structure combines turning and machining centres to achieve stable, high-accuracy machining over the long term. High positioning and machining accuracy are achieved over the entire Y-axis stroke.

Milling spindle

Equipped with an ATC compatible milling spindle. The compact design minimises interference and enlarges the machining area. The 12000 min-1 spindle can perform high-efficiency machining of steel and castings. Optional 20000 min-1spindle is designed for high-speed machining of aluminium and small diameter machining. A wide variety of spindle specifications meet production requirements.

Stable high-accuracy machining

Ai Thermal Shield

Based on spindle speed and temperature of the machine, Ai Thermal Shield suppresses changes in the cutting edge position. Stabilises continuous machining accuracy through meticulous machine control that takes into account temperature changes, machine position, coolant ON/OFF and other factors. Furthermore, by accumulating and learning about the data from subsequent measurements, thermal displacement compensation can be optimised for each machining environment to stabilize machining accuracy.

Heat displacement control

  • Spindle temperature control
    Temperature-controlled cooling oil is circulated around the spindle bearings and headstock.
    It suppresses the thermal displacement of the spindle to prevent lower machining accuracy.
  • X-, Y-, Z-axis ball screw core cooling (standard specification)
    Temperature-controlled cooling oil circulates through the ball screw cores to reduce heat and thermal effects from the servo motor.

Tool magazine at the front of the machine

The tool magazine, ideal for high-mix, low-volume production and situations requiring frequent tool changes, allows for the exchange of multiple tools from the front of the machine. It features a foldable temporary storage table at the lower front of the magazine, providing a place to set down tools brought in during the exchange process. Additionally, tool attachment and detachment can be performed easily and safely with a button, reducing the risk of excessive force and tool drops. Tool shank types can be selected from the standard specification HSK-A63(T63) as well as optional CAPTO C6 and KM4X63.

SOLID MAZATROL (Automatic programming)

MAZATROL programs are automatically generated from 3D CAD data. AI learns machining know-how from previously generated programs, automatically calculates the machining process, and generates the optimal program.

CUTTING ADVISOR

Machining simulation and visualisation of the machining process based on the accumulated machining results helps optimise cutting conditions.
