To support this, we are aligning our internal processes with the principles set out in the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which strengthens cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements across the EU market. The CRA outlines mandatory security expectations for hardware and software products, reinforcing resilience and secure-by-design approaches throughout the product lifecycle.

While the CRA does not require machine tool manufacturers to publish a public statement or disclosure on our websites, Mazak is choosing to communicate our commitment proactively. Our ongoing preparations include:

· Integrating enhanced secure-development practices and lifecycle management processes that reflect the CRA’s cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements.

· Strengthening vulnerability monitoring and response procedures, consistent with the CRA’s focus on addressing actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe incidents in a timely, coordinated manner.

· Supporting future CE-marking obligations for digital-connected products by ensuring our software solutions, cybersecurity controls and documentation evolve in line with upcoming EU regulatory standards.
