With Mazak Maintenance Care you can protect your Mazak Machine for up to five years, giving you peace-of-mind and helping you avoid unexpected bills.

Mazak Maintenance Care covers essential repair and component replacement costs to get your Machine Tool back up and running. if:

• Your Mazak Machine Tool suffers a sudden and unforeseen mechanical or electrical failure.
• Operating error or tooling failure during the normal course of operations causes unintentional and unexpected damage to your Mazak Machine that prevents it from performing its intended function (when being operated by a trained & authorised operator).

Mazak Maintenance Care also includes:

• One full and one interim service annually (based on 3,000 yearly running hours - the equivalent of one machine running 8 hours a day 5 days a week), including filters and batteries
  • Coverage including additional services is available on request and costs vary depending on the number of additional running hours.
• Mazak iCONNECT M2M for the duration of your Mazak Maintenance Care contract.
• Option to include automation equipment supplied by Mazak.

OPERATING ERROR ​EXAMPLE 1

A Z‑axis collision where the axis drove down into the table, crushing a probe fitted in the mill spindle. This was traced to a programming error

The machine was repaired and alignments were reset – repairs to the value of over £40,000 where covered 

OPERATING ERROR EXAMPLE 2

A large component became unsecured, was ejected and caused significant damage during the usage of a wash cycle meant for smaller components.

The agreement covered machine repair costs of over £30,000

SUDDEN MECHANICAL FAILURE EXAMPLE

A four-year old machine suffered a sudden spindle breakdown due to bearing failure.  The machine was fully and correctly maintained.

A Mazak refurbished spindle was fitted and a realignment completed –costs of more than £15,000 where covered by Mazak Maintenance Care

Mazak Maintenance Care Exclusions

To be able to offer Mazak Maintenance Care at a fair and affordable price we do not cover the following circumstances:

• Where there have been unauthorised repairs, modifications, or maintenance, or use of parts not supplied by Mazak.
• Damage linked to improper use, neglect, misuse or failure to follow Mazak maintenance guidelines.
• Any damage resulting from, or caused by, a collision between the machine and any motorised vehicle or mobile handling equipment
• Environmental or external events such as fire, flood, theft, vandalism or severe weather, discharge of sprinkler systems, escape of water and/or earthquake.
• Damage caused by anyone other than a fully trained and competent operator.
• Fluids required at point of service
• Failures caused by normal wear and tear or the gradual degradation of a component consummate with the age and usage of the machine.
