The 3D laser head processes materials from various angles and directions. L, H, I-beam and channel can be processed as well as round and square pipe materials.

High-accuracy cutting while minimizing vibration

Four chucks move and rotate simultaneously to prevent material distortion. Various supporters suppress vibration and provide high-accuracy cutting.

Tapping of long materials by the same machine

By attaching the optional rotary-tool spindle unit, complete all cutting processes from 3D cutting to tapping in the same machine. The hole to be tapped is cut by the laser and tapped for shorter production lead time and higher productivity. FG-400 NEO can accommodate up to M16 (5/8 UNC and UNF), M20 (3/4 UNC and UNF) in mild steel.

Capable of processing a variety of materials, including highly reflective materials

Fiber laser is capable of high-speed cutting of mild steel, which is difficult to process with CO2 laser processing machine. It stably cut even highly reflective materials such as aluminum, copper, and brass.

Beam Diameter Control function / Variable Beam Mode function

The Beam Diameter Control function automatically adjusts to the optimum beam diameter for each material and thickness. Machines are also equipped with Variable Beam Mode function which controls the divergence angle of the laser beam from the fiber resonator. Together, these two technologies provide faster cutting speed for thin material as well as superior cutting quality for thick material.

The beam diameter is optimized for each thickness.

Touch sensor

Measures the O.D. of pipe and structural material, also automatically compensates for material distortion to ensure high precision positioning.

Workpiece measurement

Automatically measures material length after loading into machine, eliminating manual measuring for each piece of material.

 

Chain type conveyor

Easily load larger quantities of material (depends on diameter) for continuous operation.
(Example of max. quantity of material diameter: Φ20 mm × 40, Φ400 mm × 5)

 

Slide jaws

Workpieces of different sizes can be clamped by changing the positions of the slide jaws.
Chucking range:
Φ20 mm to Φ305 mm, 20 mm × 20 mm to 305 mm × 305 mm

Flat bar processing support

By attaching a jaw dedicated for flat bar cutting, flat bars can be processed.

Short material loading function

Even short materials, which cannot be loaded from the loader side, can be loaded from the unloader side, making use of material efficiently.

SmoothTUBE, a new CNC system for pipe processing

The SmoothTUBE CNC system features a new graphical user interface specialized for tube processing, which ensures easier operation. The control comes with a dual touch panel and large 21.5" screen. Condition setting of scheduled operations can be updated and reprocessing can be performed on the CNC system easily. The screen configuration assists operators throughout the production process and supports efficient pipe processing.

The Machine Monitor provides an overview of the machine with 3D images and important status updates, including the door's open / closed status. The Graphic Menu supports operators by providing easy access to the torch and machine operation menu. The machine's processing status are also displayed.

Supporting the process from production schedule creation to processing The processing process can be completed on one screen. It can be monitored efficiently using the newly designed interface. The operator can modify the condition settings of scheduled operations and even reprocess selected parts with ease on the CNC system.
