Flat design of the machine body front for easy adaptation to automation

The standard compact milling spindle is 17% shorter in overall length than the conventional milling spindle, increasing the machining area with minimum interference. X-axis and Y-axis strokes are expanded to secure large machining area.

Machine construction for high-accuracy machining

Based on structural analysis, the best machine structure combining turning centers and machining centers was designed to achieve stable, high-accuracy machining over the long term. High-accuracy machining is achieved over the entire Y-axis stroke.

Stable high-accuracy machining

Ai Thermal Shield

Based on spindle speed and temperature of the machine, Ai Thermal Shield suppresses changes in the cutting edge position. Stabilizes continuous machining accuracy through meticulous machine control that takes into account temperature changes, machine position, coolant ON/OFF, and other factors. Furthermore, by accumulating and learning data from subsequent measurements, thermal displacement compensation can be optimized for each machining environment to stabilize machining accuracy.

Heat displacement control

  • Spindle temperature control
    Temperature-controlled cooling oil is circulated around the spindle bearings and headstock.
    It suppressed the thermal displacement of the spindle to prevent lower machining accuracy.
  • X-, Y-, Z-axis ball screw core cooling (Standard Specification)
    Temperature-controlled cooling oil is passed through the inside of the ball screw to suppress heat generation of the ball screw and prevent loss of machining accuracy.

Process integration from cutting to grinding

Grinding function (Grinding PKG)

Using a contact detection sensor, high-accuracy grinding can be automated.
A single setup enables turning, simultaneous 5-axis machining, and grinding, achieving significant process integration. Programs for grinding and dressing processes can be created quickly and easily through the conversational data entry screen.

Bar feeder can be installed to supply bar materials. The optional bar feeder scheduling function supports high-mix, low-volume production and set production.

Energy Saver

Energy consumption and the regenerative power produced through the energy saving equipment can be viewed visually on the CNC system to stimulate awareness of energy conservation. In addition, the system can control coolant and other equipment based on the cutting amount to reduce power consumption. * An optional Smooth coolant system is required for the control of coolant and other equipment.

Energy-saving coolant system with sludge removal performance

No need to frequently clean the tank

The coolant tank has a coolant jet that makes a vortex in the center so that small machined chips will not settle in the tank. This feature makes it possible to keep the coolant tank clean and extend the service life of the coolant. Ease of maintenance is also ensured. The frequency of coolant changes is reduced as well as CO₂ emissions at coolant disposal.
